For this new project, Mathijs Labadie and Casper Rila joined forces with artist/designer Maarten Diederix, receiving complete freedom to translate his creations into images. Drawn to the otherworldly contours of Diederix’s objects, they began to treat them as relics from an unknown past, unearthed fragments whispering of distant worlds.

Their search for a landscape that could hold such quiet mysteries led them into the dunes, where wind, sand, and silence became the setting for these imagined excavations.

The finished work was exhibited in our studio in Rotterdam, alongside the objects of Maarten.
